An ticket system (also issue tracking system, trouble ticket system, support Ticket or incident ticket system) is a computer software or web based package that manages and maintains lists of issues, as needed by an organization. Ticket systems are commonly used in an organization’s to create, update, and resolve reported customer issues.

There are 3 versions of tickets systems, paid version, custom version(mainly build for one company) and the open source version. Because we dont want to pay a lot of money for an ticket system, we use the open source versions.

Yesterday Google lanched there newest tool called Buzz. Google Buzz makes it possible to follow online activities of your friends on other websites within your Gmail account. Users can follow with Google Buzz, Twitter updates, blogger posts or Flickr pictures of there friends. For now it’s not possible to use Google Buzz to update services like Twitter, but Google says that they are working on that.

Users can set there Buzz messages to public or private, which is very useful because public messages will be displayed on your Google profile and these public messages will be index by Google, so if you dont want that, you can set the message to private. Google says that i would be easy to share a message with just a certain person or persons.

Because the numbers of smart phone are growing, there’s also a mobile version of Buzz available for the Iphone and Andriod phones. Because the most smart phone are equipped with a GPS, you can use Buzz in combination with your mobile GPS to post where you are and see the Buzz updates of the users in you neighborhood.

A couple of weeks ago Jeffrey Way published an article about 30 HTML best practices for beginners on NETTUTS. This article contains some basic need to know stuff and some tips&tricks for beginners. If you are new to HTML then go have a look.

A couple of weeks ago i decided to work in a more organized way, so i went on a search for a useful project managemt tool. On my search i came across a couple of well known project managementy tools like BaseCamp, Lighthouse and Springloops, all great tools but sadly not free (yes i am looking for a free tool). After lots of hours searching i finally found a project managent tool thats free. Project2Management is free to use and its almost the same like the paid versions on the web. Project2Management has lots of useful functions like, assign multiple levels of permission to different clients & users, manage your projects from anywhere, manage unlimited projects, post messages to keep everyone up to date, manage tasks with To-Do lists, create milestones to stay on task and lots more.

I think this is very useful project management solution, if your looking for a tool that is free.

While reading one of my favorite sites (ccs-tricks) i came across a really nice article(i dont have seen a similar one yet) by Chris Coyier about a day in his life as a web designer.I am always very interested in how other people work and which programs/tools they use, and Chris has showed me in this article some really nice programs/tools. I make a living by building website/apps so i really like to do some things fast and easy that’s why i use a couple of FireFox add-ons in my FireFox brouwser.

By using add-ons in my FireFox brouwser i can test, validate, debug, measure, autofill forms, upload and much more in my brouwser without using other applications/programs(i dont like a crowded toolbar). I will name a couple of them which i really like and find very useful.

A couple of weeks ago the unthinkable happened, Google’s Gmail went offline for a couple of hours, you didn’t excpect that a big company as google has a product that goes offline for some technical problem. But now you can check witch app from google is online or offline and why it’s offline. I use a lot of the apps from Google for my business so if a application goes offline for some reason i can check it and know if it’s my fault or not.

This graph paper is made for visual designers, interaction designers, and information architects. In the simplest of terms this is a program that allows you to view large portions of your installed font families with their various styles.

The application renders all installed font families in a scrollable grid view. It allows you to change the font size, color, background color and text to be displayed. It has a built in list feature that allows you to select fonts and then store the names, this acts much like a light-box on the various stock image websites. You can export your list to .txt or .fv for later use and we also added a feature that will export your list to .pdf with the all styles applied.

This tool is by no means revolutionary but as a designer you might find it quite helpful when trying to find that perfect font for a piece of copy or a new logo.
